Sutton Coldfield: 500 Years in the Making
Presented by the Sutton Coldfield Heritage Network (SCHN), this is the second annual showcase in our concert series leading up to the 500th Anniversary of Sutton Coldfield’s Royal Charter.
The programme features a vibrant mix of local performers of all ages, celebrating our heritage through music, dance, and the spoken word. Highlights of the evening include:
- The Central England Concert Band: Providing a grand musical backdrop to our celebrations.
- Six: A special performance inspired by the musical following the lives of the wives of Henry VIII.
- Dynamic Dance: A curated selection of movement featuring contemporary ensembles, youth dance groups, and vibrant cultural performances including Bhangra and Polish folk traditions.
- A Celebration of Community: A diverse range of further performances including contemporary and cultural dance, choral music, and youth ensembles representing the best of Sutton Coldfield today.
