SUTHEP BAND is an acclaimed independent band from Chiang Mai, Thailand, renowned for pioneering a nostalgic yet refreshingly energetic "Modern Vintage" sound. Originally formed in the Suthep sub-district by a close-knit group of seasoned local musicians, the 8-member ensemble seamlessly fuses Thai genres like luk thung, luk krung, and 70s-90s string pop with contemporary influences like rock, blues, ska, jazz, and reggae.
Dr. Ken and his band deliver classic blues and soul with a funky, psychedelic twist. Expect upbeat jump blues, slow whiskey-soaked grooves, and a few Grateful Dead covers for good measure.
