PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED - https://reg125.imperisoft.com/ChesterCountyArts/ProgramDetail/3934373635/Registration.aspxDid you know that #6 (Polystyrene, often seen in takeout containers) is cheap and easy to make, yet very difficult to recycle? Less than 5% can be recovered. Giving #6 plastic new life helps reduce waste. But what can we make with it? Beautiful, wearable art that stands out as conversation pieces and brings a bit of whimsy to everyday life. Each piece of art serves as a conversation starter about the importance of sustainability for us, ecosystems, and wildlife we live with.
Learn more about recycling, sustainability, and the importance of reducing single-use plastics, all while designing, creating, and taking home your own piece of hand-crafted jewelry or keyring accessory.
Each participant will have the opportunity to make 2 sets of earrings or keychains and discover more about the process of giving new life to #6 plastics at home.
