About this Event
About this event
Join South Dublin County Council for a special Lunch & Learn on how to repair, amend or jazz up your clothes.
What to Expect:
Loved clothes last - The Sustainable Life School is joined by an experienced seamstress to teach you the basics of clothes repairs. Learn the essential and rewarding skills that will help you make your clothes last longer: thread a needle, mend a tear in a jumper, sew back a button.
In this interactive session participants also come away with tips on how to source and donate clothes sustainably, and how to care for garments to make them last longer.
All materials will be provided or bring your own item of clothing you'd like to learn how to mend.
As part of Dublin Climate Action Week (#DCAW26), this session highlights practical ways to embrace the circular economy by reducing waste and choosing to repair or upcycle clothes.
Discover how everyday changes can lead to a more climate-resilient future while repairing or sprucing up your clothes.
Free Lunch: We'll be providing a delicious, free lunch for all attendees. It's the perfect opportunity to learn, network and fuel your day.
The event will be held in the County Hall Foyer —a central and accessible location.
Don't miss this chance to learn, connect and make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!
