Some nights you watch a band. Other nights you're part of one. SusPex Live is the second kind.
For close to four hours, SusPex plays the songs you know every word to, the ones you turn up in the car and the ones that get everyone off their seats. It's three sets, and each one hits harder than the last:
Set 1, the singalong (7:00 PM): We open with "Brown Eyed Girl," and from there it's the songs everyone sings along to, whatever their age.
Set 2, the rock set (8:20 PM): This is where it gets loud. Expect Foreigner's "Feels Like the First Time" with Lorie on lead, "Immigrant Song," and a Venus–Pinball Wizard mashup you won't hear anywhere else.
Set 3, the dance floor (9:45 PM): "Valerie," "One Way or Another" and more, all the way to the last note. Bring your dancing shoes, because you'll need them.
This show is about more than the music. The St. Jude Fall Festival supports education and The Band also supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where families never get a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. When you show up, sing along and spread the word, you're helping kids who are fighting for their lives.
Bring your friends, your family and anyone who still thinks live music is a thing of the past. Come early, stay late and sing loud. SusPex Live: one night, three sets, all heart.
