About the event:
Join us for an artist talk with Susan James, Ottawa School of Art Artist-in-Residence, on Tuesday, November 3, at 12:45 p.m. in the Library at the OSA Downtown Campus.
In FLAXLAB: A Hand Papermaking Experiment at the Boundary Between Paper and Cloth, Susan explores the fascinating space between paper and fabric. Discover how she grows her own flax and experiments with hand papermaking techniques to create materials that blur the boundaries between the two.
Susan will share her paper and cloth artworks, present an experimental sample book, and invite attendees to ask questions and handle paper samples.
Come learn more about Susan’s artistic research, material experimentation, and creative process!
