About this Event
🎨✂️ SURREALIST COLLAGE WORKSHOP WITH TATJANA — ART BEYOND REALITY!
What happens when you combine unexpected images, a little imagination and a touch of art history? You get Surrealist Collage!
Join guest artist Tatjana at Cain's Creative Chaos for a fun, beginner-friendly workshop exploring the imaginative and sometimes wonderfully strange world of surrealist art.
Surrealism is all about going beyond reality—combining familiar images in unexpected ways to create something dreamlike, unusual, thought-provoking or just plain weird!
No previous art experience is necessary. Just bring your imagination and a willingness to experiment!
✂️ WHAT WE'LL DO
We'll start with a little art history and an introduction to surrealism before diving into our own creative projects.
You'll explore how to combine images, textures, colors and unexpected elements to create a completely original collage.
Cut, arrange, layer and experiment with different combinations until you've created something uniquely yours!
Your finished artwork will be a small collage, approximately 5x7" to 8x10", ready to take home at the end of the workshop.
✨ YOUR $35 TICKET INCLUDES
• A two-hour guided workshop with Tatjana
• A fun introduction to surrealism and art history
• All materials needed to create your collage
• Creative guidance and inspiration
• Your own finished surrealist collage to take home!
✂️ WHAT TO BRING
All materials are provided, but you're encouraged to bring any personal items you'd like to incorporate into your artwork, such as:
• Old magazines
• Photographs or printed images

🎨 MAKE IT YOUR OWN!
Your collage can be whimsical, mysterious, funny, beautiful, bizarre or anything in between!
