About this Event

Supporting Women's Health

A monthly series exploring a different aspect of women's health each month.

Each session takes a practical and open approach to a different topic, combining conversation, evidence-informed guidance, practical tools and the Chinese medicine perspective where relevant.

This month's session: Perimenopause

We'll explore common symptoms of perimenopause, practical approaches to managing them, and how Chinese medicine understands and approaches this stage of life.

Perimenopause can bring a bewildering range of changes, from disrupted sleep and fatigue to anxiety, mood changes, brain fog, headaches and changes to your menstrual cycle. Yet many women are expected to navigate these changes with little understanding of what's happening or what might help.

This session is an opportunity to step back, make sense of the changes you're experiencing and explore different ways of supporting your health.

We'll look at:

  • Common physical and emotional symptoms of perimenopause
  • Why symptoms can vary so much from woman to woman
  • Practical approaches to managing symptoms and supporting your health
  • The role of stress, sleep and the nervous system
  • The Chinese medicine perspective on perimenopause
  • Simple, realistic techniques you can take away and use in everyday life

Future sessions will explore different topics throughout the year, which may include hormones and menstrual health, stress and burnout, nervous system regulation, sleep and energy, self-esteem and confidence, relationships and boundaries, and other aspects of women's health.

Each session is designed to give you useful information, space to ask questions, practical ideas to take away, and the opportunity to connect with other women in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Whether you're looking for guidance through a particular stage of life or simply want to understand more about your health, you're very welcome.
