About this Event
Supporting Students Who Learn Differently
Supporting Students Who Learn Differently is an afternoon designed to give parents and caregivers practical information, expert insight, and real support as they navigate dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety, executive function challenges, and related learning differences.
Through a series of focused sessions, families will gain a better understanding of how to identify what their child may need, what support schools can provide, when outside help may be appropriate, and how to advocate effectively along the way. Topics will include evaluations and assessments, executive function, child psychiatry, tutoring and the science of reading, IEPs and 504 plans, parent stress, supporting learning at home, and lived experiences from parents and students.
The event is designed to help families leave with greater clarity, practical next steps, and a stronger understanding of the resources available to support their child.
To remove barriers to attendance, this event is free. For those who are able, donations are encouraged to help offset the cost of the event and make opportunities like this accessible to the broader community.
