Join the Institute of Physics, supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Brecon High School for a Festival of Science.
Super Science Saturday will include: The Crazy Weather Show, Frozen! and lots of hands on activities, where families and friends together with primary and secondary teachers will enjoy sharing and networking opportunities.
During the lunch break we will hold The Great Science Share: Join the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Physics for hands on activities and demonstrations.
Bring your own science demonstrations to share with others.
Refreshments will be available.

Whether you’re a budding scientist or simply curious about the world around you, The Crazy Weather Show promises an educational and entertaining experience like no other!.
This engaging spectacle dives deep into the science behind some of nature’s most fascinating — and wildest — phenomena. Audiences will discover how air pressure can lift, how fast-moving air can pull, and how warming air creates wind. They’ll see how hot and cold water drive the powerful ocean currents that move heat around our planet, and watch as a heatproof balloon reveals the oceans’ incredible ability to store energy.
It may be educational…
It may be occasionally fictional…
But it is ALWAYS fun-filled, shocking, messy, and totally unforgettable!

Ymunwch â Scientific Sue am daith wyddonol gyffrous o ddarganfyddiad wrth i ni ddatrys dirgelion ein tywydd sy'n newid yn barhaus trwy arddangosiadau ysblennydd, dramatig ac anghofiadwy. P'un a ydych chi'n wyddonydd ifanc neu'n chwilfrydig am y byd o'ch cwmpas, mae'r Sioe Tywydd Gwallgof yn addo profiad addysgiadol ac adloniadol fel dim arall!.
Mae'r olygfa ddiddorol hon yn plymio'n ddwfn i'r wyddoniaeth y tu ôl i rai o ffenomenau mwyaf diddorol — a gwylltaf — natur. Bydd cynulleidfaoedd yn darganfod sut y gall pwysedd aer godi, sut y gall aer sy'n symud yn gyflym dynnu, a sut mae aer sy'n cynhesu yn creu gwynt. Byddant yn gweld sut mae dŵr poeth ac oer yn gyrru'r ceryntau cefnfor pwerus sy'n symud gwres o amgylch ein planed, ac yn gwylio wrth i falŵn gwrthsefyll gwres ddatgelu gallu anhygoel y cefnforoedd i storio ynni.

Science Made Simple - Bubbles and Balloons
In this interactive show we help you dive a little deeper, to think about what water is made from and all the amazing things it can do!
From absorbing water, to dissolving chemicals in it, you can squash, freeze and heat water to do all sorts of things. Its properties really are extraordinary.
Using lots of demonstrations and volunteers, our presenters will help you recognise and name properties of water – freezing, boiling, melting, condensing, dissolving and evaporating and will talk about the states of matter – solid, liquid and gas.-

Yn y sioe ryngweithiol hon, rydym yn eich helpu i blymio ychydig yn ddyfnach, i feddwl am yr hyn y mae dŵr wedi'i wneud ohono a'r holl bethau anhygoel y gall eu gwneud!
O amsugno dŵr, i doddi cemegau ynddo, gallwch chi wasgu, rhewi a chynhesu dŵr i wneud pob math o bethau. Mae ei briodweddau wir yn eithriadol.
Gan ddefnyddio llawer o arddangosiadau a gwirfoddolwyr, bydd ein cyflwynwyr yn eich helpu i adnabod ac enwi priodweddau dŵr - rhewi, berwi, toddi, cyddwyso, hydoddi ac anweddu a byddant yn siarad am gyflyrau mater - solid, hylif a nwy.

The Science of Ice Cream by Physics in the Freezer
Join Physics in the Freezer for some low temperature Physics with a tasty twist!
Making ice cream at home is hard to master and we will be exploring some of the science needed to create perfect frozen desserts. The show includes making ice cream in front of your eyes using liquid nitrogen – a magical substance that boils at -196oC, which can freeze things almost instantly…Suitable for young scientists of all ages, particularly 8 years and older.Please note that a limited number of portions of ice cream will be available, and ice cream tasting may not be suitable for people with some types of allergies
