Hi everyone, as part of the Super Latin Thursdays collaboration at Ao Tawhiti we are bringing to you a block of 6 Salsa classes in city. 😊😁🤩Come and learn our clean Salsa style infused with a touch of Ballroom Latin American Technique. This is a mixed level class (improver through to advanced), everyone who comes will be challenged to grow their skills and have fun. Come check us out, drop in rates available.
We prioritise three important ideas in our classes that sets us apart.
1) the connectedness in partner dancing, learning effortless spring tension
2) poise & frame that leads to dancing confidently
3) precision, the super neat and tidy footwork etc
Alongside all the technical jargon we teach we have damn loads of fun, and our Salsa classes have been known for descending into stand up comedy.
Super Latin Thursdays at Ao Tawhiti consists of
Bachata with Flow wave 6-8pm
Salsa with Con Caruso Latin Dance 8-9pm
DJ Kevnito, Salsa and Bachata mix 9-11pm.
We offer a $5 discount to our drop in rate for any students attending the Bachata classes or social dance at Ao Tawhiti.
Many thanks to our colleagues on this collaboration and especially Megan Woods from Ao Tawhiti College, Will and Pat from Flow Wave and DJ Kevnito.
