As the saying goes, pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Most of us experience them as the same thing, but through meditation, mindfulness and the cultivation of self-compassion, we gain clarity into the power to heal ourselves.During this daylong retreat at the museum, Jon Aaron will guide meditation practices related to seeing, hearing, and working with pain and illness. Jon Aaron has been teaching mindfulness, meditation and Buddhadharma in the Insight tradition for over 25 years. He is a recent transplant from New York where he was a teacher at New York Insight Meditation Center and the Jewish Community Center of Manhattan. He is a founding member and current president of the Global Mindfulness Collaborative.
