Sebastians Macats is a Latvian drummer and producer based in Copenhagen, working with acoustic and electronic music while also exploring songwriting through hip-hop and alternative pop. His musical practice draws on elements from jazz, ambient, and folk traditions, resulting in a sound that moves fluidly between and beyond genres. Sebastian believes that music should be inclusive without compromising artistic expression. With this in mind, he aims to create a sense of familiarity for listeners through his work. In this solo project, he combines the physicality of drumming with live electronics, drawing inspiration from the possibilities of modular synthesizers and adapting that to his own setup to create beautiful sonic landscapes.

Shivers is an international ensemble closely linked to the Scandinavian experimental music scene, fostering collaboration across Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. The ensemble emerged from their teaching at Impro Camp in Fredericia, a setting that reflects a strong regional culture of artistic exchange. Their music embodies a Nordic aesthetic often characterized by a sense of presence, spaciousness, and a keen focus on timbre and textural detail. Rather than prioritizing individual virtuosity, the group emphasizes collective interplay, with each instrument contributing to a balanced and dynamic soundscape. By combining extended techniques with a conceptual approach, Shivers carries on a tradition rooted in the Nordic experimental music scene. Their work illustrates how artists in the region frequently challenge genres and seek new forms of expression, supported by a robust cultural infrastructure.
