On Sunday 27th of August, we will leave promptly from Costa Coffee at Lewes Tesco Superstore and cycle at 10.30.
Stopping for lunch at the Chilly Farm, Pevensey Levels, but if you prefer to bring a packed lunch with you, there are plenty of options to sit outside.
It's a smooth route of 45 miles / 73 km, well paved, suitable for all types of riders.
We will leave Lewes and start cycling at 1030 am promptly, so if you would like a coffee, don't forget to get there earlier.
From Lewes, we will make our way along cycleways and quiet roads to Horam, turn south, and arrive at Pevensey Levels by lunchtime. Then will close the loop towards Polegate back to Lewes.
Please note: all our rides are weather-dependent. If the weather looks bad, the ride will be cancelled!
If you plan to join any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, a spare inner tube (or, for tubeless tyres, as appropriate), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks, enough to drink, and sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Don't forget your lights if you expect to be out in the hours of darkness. Please follow Cycling UK guidance and the Highway Code.
