On Sunday November 29th, we’re delighted to welcome The Fortunate Nudes , the new project bringing together Ian Black and Ricky Murray of SLUG! and Peter Brewis of Field Music. Expect glorious, off-kilter pop songs full of invention, with nods to everything from The Who, Motown, Alan Hull, Led Zeppelin and Roy Orbison to The Shins and Pixies. We’re also thrilled to welcome Craig Clark Band to the café for the first time. Craig writes warm, big-hearted songs that pair intimate songwriting with expansive, richly melodic arrangements. Think Elliott Smith, Midlake and Ben Gibbard, with a gentle Americana streak but a distinctly Northern character.
Completing the line-up is South Shields’ own Lucy Shaw, a rising local star whose influences stretch from Bob Dylan to Florence + The Machine, and everywhere in between. We’re delighted to welcome her back to Sea Change and put another homegrown artist in the spotlight.
It’s shaping up to be another lovely one.
