✨ THE MAIN EVENT ✨
THE BREATH AS GATEWAY
A Somatic Breathwork, Vocal Toning & Meditation Experience
with Hudson @thetexasshaman
Your breath is happening right now.
You probably weren’t paying attention to it until you read that sentence.
That’s part of what has kept me fascinated with breathwork for years. The breath gives us a way to interrupt all of the thinking, planning and figuring out long enough to notice what is actually happening inside us.
The Breath as Gateway is a 70-minute guided experience built around that idea.
We’ll begin with a short workshop exploring presence through the body. I’ll introduce a few of the practices I use to bring attention away from the stories we are telling ourselves.
Then we’ll work with sound.
We’ll start with humming before opening the voice into a few simple tones. I don’t care whether you can sing, and nobody is going to ask you to match a note. We’re using the voice because vibration gives us another very tangible way to experience the body.
From there, we’ll move into an extended period of somatic breathwork. I’ll guide the breath as it becomes more active and stay with you as we eventually begin slowing everything back down.
The meditation begins right there.
Rather than stopping the breathwork, sitting everyone up and beginning something new, we’ll allow one experience to become the next. The active breath ends, your natural breath returns, and we’ll spend the next part of our time in meditation. I’ll bring singing bowls into the room along the way and leave plenty of space for silence.
We’ll finish with a few minutes to integrate before we get up and go back to our lives.
✧ WHAT TO EXPECT
Breath as a Gateway to Presence
We’ll spend a few minutes learning how I work with attention, sensation and breath before moving into the longer practice. This isn’t meant to be a lecture. I want you to have something you can actually experience while we’re together and use again after you leave.
Vocal Toning
We’ll work with humming and simple vocal tones while paying attention to where we feel the vibration. There’s nothing to perform here. Your voice doesn’t need to sound like mine or anyone else’s in the room. This will settle us into our bodies and into the space.
Somatic Breathwork
We’ll spend approximately 20–25 minutes working with the breath and body. The breathing will become more active for a period before gradually returning to its natural rhythm. You’ll be guided throughout and can adjust your breathing whenever your body asks you to.
There will be multiple rounds of breathing, exhale holds and inhale holds.
◯ Meditation + Chakra Sound Bowls
We’ll move directly from breathwork into approximately 20–25 minutes of meditation. Sound bowls will be used during portions of the meditation, with silence intentionally left between them.
✧ Integration
Before we leave, we’ll give the experience a little room to settle. You can share if you want to, or you can keep whatever happened for yourself.
BEFORE YOU COME
You don’t need to know how to meditate or have any previous experience with breathwork or vocal toning.
I also don’t want you coming in expecting that you’re supposed to have some huge experience.
I’ve seen breath bring people into profound places, and I’ve seen someone simply become quiet enough to notice themselves again.
Come through, and bring a friend or two!

JUST SHOW UP

Sunday Fire is a weekly, sober, heart centered community gathering in Austin rooted in truth, embodiment, and real human connection.
For over four years this space existed as Sunday Wellness. What began as a simple weekly gathering has evolved into something more participatory, more alive, and more collaborative. Sunday Fire is the next chapter.
Each week we gather to reconnect with ourselves and each other through:
Live community speakers sharing lived wisdom
Experiential activations such as breathwork, movement, sound, and embodiment
Connection based games and intentional conversations
Cacao and aligned wellness vendors
A held container where people do not just attend, they participate
This is not a marketplace. It is not a pitch fest. It is not about performance.
Sunday Fire is a stage for truth.
A space for courage.
A room where voices matter.
A gathering built on presence, integrity, and growth.
We are sober by design. We are intentional about tone. We protect the container.
If you feel called to speak, facilitate, vend, or simply show up fully, there is space for you here.
Come as you are.
Bring nothing but yourself.
Leave more connected than you arrived.
Welcome to Sunday Fire
