Join Julu and Heg (Suthering) for a harmony singing workshop. Become a choir for a day and learn simple songs in four-part harmony, themed around unity and resistance. Following their powerful new choral show ‘A Chorus of Hope’, Julu and Heg invite you to find your voice and your power through community singing, and songs of freedom, joy and protest.This workshop is open to complete beginners and designed to be inclusive to all.
WHEELHOUSE FOLK CHOIR
Wheelhouse Folk Choir are a mixed-voice a cappella choir directed by Julu Irvine and Heg Brignall of folk duo Suthering.This Tavistock-based choir sing vibrant and textured arrangements of folk songs; from traditional to contemporary in up to eight part harmony.Following the release of their debut EP ‘Little Gifts of Light’ in 2025, the choir firmly established themselves on the English folk scene, with BBC and regional radio play and national press reviews."In a world which feels as if it’s slowly growing darker, these small yet beautifully crafted musical gems are the glimmer of light we all need.” - Sam Blackledge, ITV
