You are warmly invited to attend our FIRST OUTDOOR Unplugged Gathering in Victoria-- SUMMER UNPLUGGED at Banfield Park! Unplug, take a break from your phone & laptop, and Connect.
This is our first outdoor unplugged gathering to kick off summer & pride week!... As a special treat, we'll have a silent reading rave zone 6:30-7:30pm and a 3 channel sunset silent disco running from 8-9:30pm for those who'd like to try out silent disco & move together!
Meet up with a friend you've been wanting to see or come solo & meet new people. We are a friendly bunch!
-We've been gathering offline in cafes since Nov 2024. These evenings are an invitation to take a pause, unplug, reconnect, leave your devices behind, and immerse yourself in an intentional evening away from screens & notifications.
-Bring your knitting, craft supplies, favourite games, letter writing or drawing supplies, beading, collaging materials, and that book you’ve been meaning to finish—and enjoy in person conversations, genuine connections, or solitude in the company of others. We supply a few games, letter writing supplies & activities too.
MUSIC CHANNELS:
Ch 1: DJ Skye Phoenix presents a special WORLD BEAT HOUSE MUSIC set—an uplifting fusion of global melodies, infectious rhythms, and irresistible house grooves. A musical journey around the world designed to make your soul sing and your booty shake.
Ch 2: PRIDE IN THE GROOVE- all your favourite danceable Pride Anthems plus a grooving mix of disco, soul, funk, & EDM
Ch 3: UPBEAT OLDIES- 60s 70s 80s 90s
Banfield Park is a stunningly beautiful spot overlooking the Gorge Waterway. Come join Unplugged Gatherings in Victoria BC & Silent DJ Victoria for an offline evening to remember!
COST:
--If you are joining the offline gathering only, please make a $5 & up contribution towards costs, here on Eventbrite or by e-transfer to [email protected]
--If you are joining the silent disco, please reserve a headset in advance for $15 here on Eventbrite or by e-transfer to info@silentdjvictoria (available until midnight Friday)
--a few headsets will be available on event day for $20 by e-transfer to [email protected], on Eventbrite, or drop in with exact cash.
