About this Event
An 8-week pottery course aimed at those wanting to get to grips with both the potters wheel and simple handbuilding processes.
Suitable for total beginners or those that have already attended a class and want to improve quickly.
We have a small and intimate studio environment, so you will all have plenty of advice and tips from our pottery tutors. Walk away with a set of glazed creations!
The sessions will run from 6pm - 8pm on the following Wednesdays; 10th Jun, 17th Jun, 24th Jun, 1st July, 8th July, 15th July, 22nd July and 29th July.
The ticket cost will cover you for all eight sessions, including all materials and firings of a collection of pots per person.
All final pots will be ready for collection 3 weeks after the last session.
Please make sure you can make all the dates as we cannot offer alternatives or refunds.

Week two - Throw bigger
Week three - Trimming
Week four - Pinch pots
Week five - Slab building
Week six - Coiling
Week seven - Refining
Week eight - Glazing and decoration
Knowledge Required
• Intermediate - This course is for ages 16+ only.
Techniques You Will Explore
Wheel throwing and basic ceramic handbuilding skills.

What to bring
• Relaxed clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy. Bring your own apron if you have one.
Transport
• We are within a short walk from Stockport train and bus station. Parking is available at the Merseyway Shopping Centre NCP.
Refunds and Booking Terms
• Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As the workshop fees part support the work we do for as a non-for-profit, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.
• Unfortunately we cannot offer part refunds if you miss a session or are unable to attend!
