About this Event
Join us for an engaging and informative evening focused on understanding suicide awareness, recognising the warning signs, and learning how we can support those who may be struggling.
This event is specifically for men and aims to raise awareness of suicide ahead of the festive period, a time when feelings of loneliness and isolation can often increase. With around 75% of suicides involving men, yet significantly fewer men accessing support services, our hope is that this event will create a safe space to start conversations, raise awareness, and help break down some of the stigma that still exists around men's mental health.
This session aims to:
• Increase awareness and understanding of suicide and mental health challenges
• Help identify signs that someone may be in crisis
• Build confidence in having supportive conversations
• Signpost local and national support services
• Encourage a culture of openness, compassion and connection
Please note:
As the event is being held within an active security operations environment, a number of security measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all attendees and the security of the facility. All guests will be required to present a valid form of photographic identification upon arrival, which will be checked against a pre-approved guest list prior to entry. Access will be strictly controlled, with attendees only permitted entry to designated event areas, and visitor passes issued accordingly. These measures are designed to provide a safe and secure experience for everyone attending the event.
