For over 17 years, we’ve been building a one-of-a-kind gathering in the foothills of the World Heritage-listed Barrington Tops — a celebration of music, art, nature, connection, and adventure. Held on beautiful Worimi Country, Subsonic brings together like-minded humans from all walks of life for three days of sonic exploration and sensory immersion.
From deep house and driving techno to ambient, experimental, live electronic and global rhythms, the soundtrack is as diverse as the people who come. Riverwood Downs is just 3.5 hours north of Sydney, one hour from Newcastle and four hours south of Coffs Harbour. Spread across 750 acres, the multi-award-winning property is circled by five kilometres of mountain river frontage, sitting within the greater Barrington Tops World Heritage Area that covers more than 95,000 hectares of unspoilt wilderness. We are eternally grateful to the Traditional Custodians of Worimi Country, and to the staff of Riverwood Downs, for hosting us all.
Your Festival Stay
On-site festival camping from Friday-Sunday is included in your ticket price, with the option to purchase add-ons such as Early Entry, Glamping, and other on-site upgrades.
Camping festivals don’t have to mean roughing it. The site offers a wide range of options, starting with the classic multi-day festival camping experience that forms the heart of the weekend. If you want to elevate your stay, you can opt for deluxe river-view camping in a premium spot, fully set-up glamping packages with a touch of luxury, or even an air-conditioned bunkhouse. All of these are available as add-ons.
