What Is a Social Startup?
A Social Startup is a real-world action project in which a student identifies a genuine problem — affecting people, animals, the environment, or their community — and solves it through measurable action, typically in a single day or weekend. The student takes on the role of Founder and CEO: they define the problem, set a specific measurable goal, execute the solution, document the outcome, and reflect on what they learned. Every project is aligned to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Championship rests on two objectives, held together:
● A real-world advantage beyond marks. Academic scores no longer differentiate students the way they once did. Social Startup gives every student — regardless of family connections or budget — a genuine Founder & CEO experience: making a real decision, acting on it, and facing a real outcome, achievable in a single weekend with no teacher supervision required.
● Nation building. By having students identify and act on problems that genuinely affect their own community, the programme builds a generation of young people used to noticing what's broken around them and taking responsibility for fixing it — one local action at a time, each one contributing to a larger national effort.
The Process
Three stages take a student from idea to evidence:
● 1. Identify & Define — the student picks a real, local problem, aligns it to 1–3 SDGs, and sets a SMART Goal with a specific, measurable target.
● 2. Roll Out — the student executes the project independently, invites credible observers, and documents the action.
● 3. Debrief & Publicise — the student evaluates the result against the goal, reflects on what was learned, and submits evidence that becomes part of their verified Founder Profile.

The Path to National Recognition
● Every Founder gets certified. Completing a Social Startup earns a global, SDG-aligned digital certificate — real, documented, defensible evidence, not a vague participation claim.
● Top founders advance. The highest-ranked students are selected for a fully funded, 3-day residential National Demo Day, where they pitch before a panel of expert leaders to compete for national awards and university certification.
● Open to all students. No cost of entry beyond effort — no adult supervision, no paid programme, no prior connections required.
