Overview

The StrongSuits 2-Day Certified Facilitator Training is designed to address the most pressing questions in team coaching today:

  • How do I support the team in bringing out the best of everyone's strengths?
  • How do I build team trust and psychological safety in a fun, accessible way?
  • How do I improve communication and decision-making in the team?
  • How do I improve the way team members give each other feedback?
  • How might I support understanding and conflict resolution in the team?

What is StrongSuits?

StrongSuits is a powerful strengths-based approach to building stronger teams which uses playing cards and games to get teams having fun and feeling energised while generating high-impact conversations about how people behave and how they can develop.

StrongSuits is based on 4 major insights from modern psychology:

  • People perform at their best when they play to their strengths
  • Cognitive diversity makes teams stronger
  • People interact and communicate in different ways
  • Every strength can be overplayed and become a limitation

StrongSuits revolutionises team coaching, one-to-ones and wider performance development across the whole organisation. It is highly accessible and adaptable and can be tailored to suit your team or organisation's needs ranging from a 1-hour slot at a team retrospective or staff conference all the way up to a multi-layered people development programme across the whole organisation.

As a software engineer for over a decade, Andrea noticed the widespread lack of leadership and communication skills in engineering organisations on various projects. It was when Andrea was exposed to structured leadership development programmes at Ericsson that she discovered how systemic organisational and leadership development can lead to effective teamwork and how those efforts can scale. "StrongSuits fits perfectly in the portfolio of leadership skills development - and enables this via a useful, engaging set of games and interventions" says Andrea.
