About this Event
Please join us for this Breaking Bread event where we gather for a catered meal and conversation about some of the challenges and opportunities facing our Harlem neighborhood. The goal of the evening is to hear from one another about how we can strengthen our community through interfaith cooperation and with the broader community.
Some points of anticipated conversation: work force development, economic opportunity, and immigration.
We are honored to welcome former South Carolina Governor David Beasley, recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award and former Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme, where he accepted the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize on the organization’s behalf. Govenor Beasley will spend the evening listening alongside the community and offering brief opening and closing reflections.
