About this Event
During this activity, we will go for a walk along the Trans-Canada Trail. This is a great opportunity to get you moving, mingle with other parents of infants around the same age, enjoy the calm of nature, and let infants explore new environments and enjoy some fresh air.
Who can participate: Parents and caregivers with children 0 to 18 months.
When: October 7th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Where: 333 Churchill Avenue North, Ottawa. This event will start at the resource centre of Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton, located at the back of the building. We plan to start the walk at 2:10 pm to allow parents time to arrive. You can access this entrance on foot through the employee parking lot.
What to expect: An easy and friendly walk along the Trans Canada Trail, weather permitting. We will start at the resource centre and walk towards the Remic Rapids. It should be a one-hour loop.
Prior to the walk, parents will be invited to make refreshments and take treats with them on the walk :)
Don’t worry if you need to leave early! We want everyone to feel comfortable and to participate at their own pace.
In case of bad weather, the resource centre will be open for drop-in playgroup.
What to bring: Please bring a stroller or a baby carrier. Please ensure to dress for the weather.
Parking note: Please note that we have no parking on site. You can find free 3-hour parking on nearby streets such as Wilmont Ave, Whitby Ave, or Madison Ave, or paid 2-hour parking along Churchill Avenue.
