At the start of the class we’ll spend time getting to know the participants and what they expect from the workshop. Students will also state their own learning goals.

Understanding Stress and Its Impact on Us
We will start with how to define stress and its consequence, then move on to how to recognize the stressors.
What Stress Is Really About?
In this class we are looking at aspects of stress. Participants will also find out about the impacts of stress and a type of stress referred to as ‘eustress’.
Establishing a Strong Foundation
And finally we will evaluate the four pillars of stress management, focusing on how to relax.
Cognitive Strategies
In this session you will be introduced to two management strategies for stress, as well as the Triple A approach, which involves alter, avoid and accept.
Coping with Work Related Stress
This course will deal with the topic of stress at work. The participants will measure how stressed they are by using an inventory and also identify how they can cope with the stresses.
Tips for Effective Time Management
Add a bit of planning to our routines and we can lower our stress levels’, writes the pregnancy website Fit Pregnancy.
Participants will collaborate in groups to generate ideas, for time management.
Managing Stress at Home
Later on, participants will be given feedback, on how they can run their household in a way that minimises stress, including budgeting, meal planning, staying organised and doing chores.
Identifying Drains and Energizers
At the end of the workshop participants will enumerate what drains their energy as what fills them with energy.
Wrapping Up the Workshop
By the end of the day, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to develop an action plan.
