About this Event
Course Overview
Toolbox meetings are needed to enhance safety and productivity of your office environment. Indirectly, they help in preventing hazards by creating a forum for conversations. These meetings also help in achieving excellence in team because they provide a regular opportunity to share better practicies and goals. As part of its aim to help achieve this, this unique training course aims to impart the skills to conduct toolbox meetings.
Topics covered in this course
Keep It Concise
In this session you will learn about the necessity of short and precise toolbox talks for maximum effectiveness. Time is money! We will focus on presenting as much information we can possibly provide in a 10 15 minutes timeframe. We can, however, also provide meetings moving up to a 25 minutes period.
Engage with Supervisors
At toolbox meetings it is helpful to have a supervisor or other administrator there for that purpose, just in case; it will ensure the recording of minutes so decisions and plans can be reported up the chain of command. This way leadership knows what is going on in the workplace.
Maintain Focus
Toolbox meetings can improve safety awareness in the workplace as long as they stay on topic.
In this session, the attendees will learn some ways of accomplishing their meeting objectives, without sharing too many decisions or too little information with the team members.
Summary of the Workshop
This will help participants further their understanding of the topic and then they build a plan on how they would act by the end of the learning session.
