From the Brink to Recovery: Strengthening partnerships and shaping the future of Pine Marten conservation.
Led by project partners and practitioners, the conference will showcase innovative approaches and strategies to foster coexistence and recover protected species through community engagement, partnership working, citizen science and practical mitigation.
Our speakers will include foresters, land managers, ecologists and vets, who will share their insights and lessons learned to support the growing network of pine marten recovery projects across the UK and contribute to the wider nature recovery agenda in Cumbria.
The conference will also celebrate the vital contribution of our volunteers, including students from the University of Cumbria and prisoners from HMP Haverigg, providing them with an opportunity to share their experiences and reflect on how their involvement has shaped and transformed their lives.
