About this Event
Street Theory Sounds is a collaborative sonic series presented by Street Theory Gallery Collective in partnership with Central On Air. Designed as an immersive listening experience, the series invites community into sound as a form of storytelling—where music, memory, and culture intersect inside our living room gallery space.
This iteration of Street Theory Sounds is dedicated to the iconic Sade, celebrating her recent nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with a curated sonic experience rooted in soul and timeless groove. Sade’s artistry transcends genre—blending jazz, R&B, and cultural rhythms into a signature sound that redefined emotional storytelling in music. Her influence continues to shape how we experience mood, texture, and vulnerability through sound, making this tribute both a celebration of her legacy and a nod to her well-deserved recognition.
Sounds for the evening will be provided by DJ Slick Vick, with a special Sade set from 6–9 PM. Expect an intentional listening experience that invites reflection, connection, and deep appreciation for an artist whose impact continues to echo across generations.
