Join us at Glue Craft Studio, Sam will be teaching you how to create a handmade straw broom!
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of making your very own handbroom from scratch. No experience or supplies needed - just you and your creativity. The class is intentionally kept small so that everyone can get hands on help.
Sam is a mixed media craft artist and broom maker devoted to celebrating Black and queer stories in their light and their shadows. Their practice is an ode to hand work, shaped by their roots in the American South, the wisom of their quilting grandmother, and their identity as a parentified firstborn navigating he complexities of the "American Dream."
At Glue, we use 90% reclaimed items for your crafting experience in order to reduce our impact and your crafting cost. We set every crafting experience up for your to be able to chat with your neighbor in a shared family style table setting.
