About this Event
Strathclyde Stories brings together colleagues from across the University to explore and celebrate the often-unseen work that underpins research, knowledge exchange and innovation. We invite participants from all faculties and job families, including:
- technicians
- professional services staff
- research support teams
- doctoral researchers
- librarians
- communications teams
- administrators
- teaching staff
- researchers (on all types of contracts)
who are essential to successful RKEI outcomes but often unacknowledged in conversations about research culture.
Join us for a session of discussion leading to the creation of short comics that will showcase the diverse expertise driving our research culture.
Supported by the talents of live-drawing artist Jules Scheele, the workshops are designed to be accessible, engaging and collaborative, with the emphasis on conversation, creativity and shared learning.
No artistic experience is needed and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Schedule
- 12:30–13:20: Lunch (provided)
- 13:20–13:30: Introductions and Comics Icebreaker
- 13:30–14:30: Session 1 — Small group discussions (illustrated live by Jules Scheele)
- 14:30–15:00: Refreshments break (provided)
- 15:00–16:00: Session 2 — Collaborative comics creation
- 16:00–16:30: Debrief and closing statements
