STRATEGY (UK) [1985 Music / Exit Records / Conduct]
A multi-talented vocalist, producer and DJ, STRATEGY is a cornerstone of the UK underground, recognised for his razor-sharp delivery and genre-spanning versatility across hip-hop and electronic music.
His career includes collaborations such as “Premium Grease”, “PFTD” with Halogenix, “Lunar Eclipse” with Visages, and “Tell Dem” with Voltage and Specialist Moss. As a producer, Strategy has released music through respected labels including Exit Records and Tru Thoughts.
His DJ career stretches from Pirate Radio and BBC Radio 1 residencies to appearances at internationally recognised venues including Fabric in London, Webster Hall in New York and Circus in Tokyo. He has also shared stages and toured alongside artists including Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Snoop Dogg, Redman & Method Man, while co-founding Manchester's Broke’n’English crew.
His international touring history spans China, Japan, North America and Europe, with festival appearances including Boomtown, Glastonbury and VH1 Supersonic in India. Following his first Australian and New Zealand solo tour, Strategy arrives in Sydney for a night that showcases the breadth of his sound and decades of experience behind the mic and decks.
DEEP TEMPO (UK) [DEEP TEMPO RADIO]
Widely known for their acclaimed Deep Tempo Dubstep podcast, Roving Dread & Cuttah have become influential figures within the global 140 and Dubstep community, documenting, promoting and championing music from established artists and labels through to emerging producers.
Their work extends beyond the podcast through the 140 Zine, a photographic journal documenting their journey through the underground, as well as the Frozen Tempo limited vinyl series, launched alongside Hungarian label Frozen Plates to showcase producers from across Europe. They have also hosted their own events across London, Birmingham and Bristol.
Deep Tempo's international footprint includes performances at 25 Years of SUBDUB in Leeds, HVYWGHT, Hit & Run, Navy Cut, Sziget Festival, Outlook Festival, and events across Japan, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Poland and Belgium. They have also toured India alongside RIOT.
With a wealth of exclusive music from their global Dubstep network, a Deep Tempo set is a journey through the sounds shaping the underground — bringing together deep 140 pressure, forward-thinking Dubstep and the darker edges of bass music.
