The nights grow longer and the shadows draw in about us.Halloween marks the hinge of the year, traditionally the time when the boundary between this world and the Otherworld grows thin. It is a time for remembering the dead, for gathering together, for merriment and for telling stories.
So come hunker down at the Parabola Arts Centre for an evening of strange tales, while the restless dead wander the streets outside.
Performance storyteller Oliver Lavery and folk musician Tamsin Quin bring together eerie tales from Britain and beyond with original folk songs and live music. Expect ghosts and goblins, ancient heroes, child-snatching river demons and the bloodthirsty gods of the Mexican underworld.
Oliver’s storytelling draws on the oral traditions of Britain and Ireland, while Tamsin’s music weaves through the tales.
Together, they are The Folk Bus, and this is their Cheltenham storytelling debut. Why not join them this Halloween for a journey into the Otherworld?
You may not leave the theatre quite the same.
