On Friday, September 18, Strange Souls: The Doors Reimagined makes its Mayan Monkey debut — and its only Montgomery County appearance of 2026.This is not a conventional tribute show or a note-for-note recreation. Strange Souls takes the legendary music of Jim Morrison and The Doors somewhere unpredictable, combining the power of the original songs with improvisation, poetry, personality and the energy of a band performing the music as if it were being created today.
Expect familiar favorites, deeper cuts and moments that may never happen the same way twice.
