Confabulation StoryLab is a hands-on, in-person storytelling workshop where you’ll learn how to shape a true story from your own life into a compelling narrative.
Led by Matt Goldberg of Confabulation Montreal, this three-hour intensive introduces the fundamentals behind the stories heard on Confabulation stages: finding the heart of a story, building a strong narrative arc, choosing the details that matter, and bringing your story to life for an audience.
Through guided exercises, discussion, and practical storytelling techniques, you’ll begin developing a story of your own while learning tools you can use on stage, in presentations, or anywhere a good story matters.
When: Saturday, November 14, 2026 · 2:00–5:00 p.m.

Cost: $50 per person
All experience levels are welcome. Whether you’ve never told a story in front of an audience before, have been thinking about performing at Confabulation Calgary, or simply want to become a stronger and more confident storyteller, StoryLab is designed to give you a practical foundation to build from.
