🌀 Storm season doesn’t wait, and neither should we.On Saturday, November 14, First United Methodist Church of Brunswick is hosting Storm Ready Seniors with Opportunity Uplifted. It’s a free, hands-on preparedness event for adults 50 and older. Drop in anytime between 10am and noon. Come when it works for you; you won’t need to stay the whole time.
This is more than a supply giveaway. Volunteers will sit down with you one-on-one to:
✅ Sign you up for local emergency alerts
✅ Set up emergency alerts and contacts on your phone
✅ Put together a simple storm plan
✅ Connect you with a buddy to check in with before and after severe weather
Everyone who completes the steps goes home with a Storm Ready Senior kit. Kits are limited to 50, so mark your calendar now.
