About this Event
Herefordshire Community Network for Ukraine, co-ordinating by hvoss, with funding support from Herefordshire Council, joined the nationwide celebration of Refugee Week by creating a special film exploring what courage, home and belonging mean to people from different countries and cultures.
We invited members of communities across Herefordshire, as well as people we met along the way, to share their thoughts and feelings in response to two simple but powerful questions:
What does courage mean to you?
If you had to leave your home, what would you take with you?
The answers were moving, honest and deeply personal. Each story offers a different perspective on what we value most, what makes us feel safe, and what home really means to us.
We warmly invite you to join us for a screening of this special film, listen to these heartfelt responses and share your own thoughts.
After the screening, we will have time for an informal community discussion over a cup of tea, and a traditional Ukrainian, Afghan and British sweet treat.
Come along to watch, listen, reflect, and connect with others. It is an opportunity to hear different perspectives, discover what we have in common, and celebrate the stories that bring our communities together.
We look forward to welcoming you!
