About this Event
Join ALPFA Los Angeles for a special Día de Muertos edition of Stories of ALPFA: A Life Worth Telling — Con Orgullo y Amor. This evening will center on the power of storytelling to honor the people who shaped our lives and preserve the lessons, memories, and legacies they left behind. Five featured storytellers will share personal stories about loved ones who have passed, not simply who they were, but the moments that defined them, the lessons they taught, and the ways their influence continues today. Between featured stories, attendees will also have opportunities to share brief one-minute memories of their own loved ones. The evening will combine storytelling, culture, and community with a communal ofrenda, live music, Día de Muertos-themed face painting, empanadas, aguas frescas, and a curated tequila and mezcal tasting experience in partnership with the LA Tequila Club and participating agave brands. Guests are encouraged to bring a photograph of a loved one to contribute to the communal ofrenda. This is not a storytelling competition. It is a celebration of life, legacy, and the stories we carry forward — con orgullo y amor.
