Stop the War Scotland AGM 2026: Building A Movement Against War
The Labour Government’s partial retreat on Palestine shows just how powerful our movement can be.
The international Palestine solidarity movement has faced relentless attacks from Western governments - and remains unstoppable. Israel is increasingly isolated on the world stage.
Across Europe, opposition is also growing to rearmament and the billions being poured into military budgets while welfare and public services are left to crumble. Young people and workers are rising against the looming threat of conscription, which is fast becoming a reality.
Since our last AGM, the world has become even more dangerous. The assault on Iran and attacks across Latin America show that the new American imperialism promises to be even more brutal than the last.
But the opposition is growing too.
“From this International Anti-War Conference we raise our united voices: against war and genocide, and the growing nuclear threat, and for peace.”
That was the opening line of the statement agreed at June’s International Anti-War Conference - and we mean it.
