Learn the skills. Be ready to save a life.About this Event
In an emergency, knowing how to control severe bleeding can save a life. This hands-on training teaches participants to recognize life-threatening bleeding and perform basic bleeding control techniques, including applying direct pressure, packing wounds with gauze, and using a tourniquet. No prior medical experience is necessary.
Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a Stop the Bleed course completion certificate through the American College of Surgeons’ Stop the Bleed program. You’ll leave with practical skills and greater confidence to help someone experiencing a bleeding emergency.
Before taking the field portion, participants must complete the ACS Online Certification beforehand and show a screenshot of their completed certification. This online course should only take about 30 minutes.
