Stone Pony is returning with a new series of live original music concerts in Willunga, this time in a new home at the wonderfully eclectic and ambient South Coast Brewing Co. And we couldn't be more excited to begin in our new digs with the sublime music of local artists The Yearlings and Jamie Lena. The Yearlings
Two guitars, two voices.
Quiet, intimate, raw and powerful, producing a new strain of acoustic music, distilling Americana through the filter of distinctly Australian life. Their current album “Luck”, mixed by Chris Shaw in Austin TX (Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow) and produced by Lucie Thorne, took out the 2023 Roots Album of the Year (Adelaide Blues and Roots Association). The Yearlings have shared their music widely at many prestigious festivals and events locally and beyond (New York Guitar Festival, Americana Festival, Nashville, Adelaide Guitar Festival, Womad Earth Station, Port Fairy Folk Festival, 24th FAI Conference, Memphis, National Folk Festival and the Queenscliff Music Festival) to name a few! “stories are told with intimacy, their lightly tethered voices beckoning you in. “
Jamie Lena
Jamie Lena is a soul-jazz-folk artist from Kaurna/Ramindjeri country. Jamie explores the intimacy of living; femininity, sovereignty, love, and politics, with melodies reminiscent of pioneers, Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Lauryn Hill. Known for her intimate lyrics and intricate songwriting, Jamie’s music serves at once as a knife, a salve and an elixir.
In 2024, Jamie released her debut EP, co-produced by Grammy Nominee, Nick Herrera with received recognition in APRA’s top 10 Regional Charts. This year (2025), Jamie embarks on recording her first full length album with funding support from Carclew.
Jamie has been acknowledged for her soul stirring music with the opportunity to play at WOMADelaide, the Adelaide Guitar Festival, and St Kilda Festival, and recognition as a nominee in the South Australian music awards.
