-Stompin' Trees
Stompin’ Trees blend raw folk, Nordic blues and rustic resonance to create a tumultuous sound that makes you want to dance, stomp and sing from dusk ‘till dawn. The quintet puts a modern spin on what music once was: a social connector, brute force from the grassroots. Moving between dark and hypnotic vibes, the singer’s raucous voice and raconteur-like stage presence take us on a ramble across the thoroughfares and through the muddy backroads. With stormy introspection, his lyrics introduce you to intriguing, memorable characters that will live on in the wilds of your mind.
-Frisco Lee and the Golden Gate
Montreal born-and-raised, Frisco Lee is a multi-instrumentalist singersongwriter who’s been anchored in the underground music scene for over a decade and a half. Anglophone-francophone, hailing from the suburbs and armed with a Blues background, he began playing the bar circuits in 2013, and for the following decade, has made a name for himself as a musician for hire in many various live and studio projects – more recently associated with Sud-Ouest Recording Service and BabyHorse Records. Over time, he’s been cultivating a widely-varied collection of self-penned songs in the style of old Blues, Country, Folk and Jazz, striking a contemporary chord with Indie and Psychedelic stylings, and passionate about creating timeless sounds and pertinent poetry.
-Hochelaga Hotshots
