Discover the relaxing art of hand embroidery. Participants will create a personalized decorative piece. They will learn how to prepare fabric in an embroidery hoop. The class will also cover threading a needle and separating embroidery floss. Participants will learn how to begin and finish their stitching. They will then follow a simple pattern.
The workshop will introduce several useful beginner stitches. These stitches can create lines, shapes, textures, and decorative details. Participants will practice each technique first. They will then combine the stitches to complete a design. Everyone can follow the provided example. They can also choose their own colors and add creative details.
No embroidery or sewing experience is needed. Step-by-step demonstrations will be provided throughout the class. Individual guidance will also be available. All materials will be included.
