🎷 Steven Delannoye Quartet "Auburn Skies" — samedi 31 octobre, 19:30 & 21:30Saxophonist Steven Delannoye has chosen the Toots to present his brand-new project on stage. For this debut, he performs in a quartet with Italian pianist Nicola Andrioli — a long-standing musical partner, notably on a highly acclaimed duo album — and a rhythm section featuring some of the very best musicians in Flanders.
A graduate of the Lemmens Institute 20 years ago, he has been involved in numerous high-calibre collaborations (Eric Vloeimans, Stéphane Belmondo, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra…). In 2009 a scholarship took him to the Manhattan School of Music in New York, working alongside pianist Phil Markowitz. Artist-in-residence at KU Leuven (2012–2014), honoured by the Gent Jazz Festival in 2016, he is also tenor saxophonist and resident arranger for the Jazz Station Big Band in Brussels. Renowned for his modern, energetic playing and subtle interplay with his fellow musicians. A wonderful opportunity to witness the birth of a new project.
