Stay steady, safe, and confident with Stepping On, a free seven-week fall-prevention workshop designed for adults ages 65 and older who live independently. Whether you have experienced a fall, are concerned about falling, or simply want to remain active and independent, this workshop offers practical tools to help you move through everyday life with greater confidence.Throughout the seven-week program, participants will learn how strength and balance exercises can help prevent falls, identify common hazards in and around the home, and explore ways to make daily activities safer. The workshop also covers important fall-prevention topics such as proper footwear, vision, medications, and safely navigating the community.
Stepping On provides a welcoming, supportive environment where participants can ask questions, share experiences, and learn strategies they can keep using at home. The program has been proven to reduce falls by 31%.
Classes will be held on Mondays from 10 am to 12 p.m., November 9th through December 21st, in Classroom 3 at MAC, 909 Progress Circle in Salisbury.
The workshop is free, but you must register in advance. To reserve your spot, contact Nancy Hedlesky at 410-742-0505, ext. 131, or [email protected]
