A gentle space for connection, movement, and steady steps forward together.
About this Event
πΏ About the Walk
βYou donβt have to walk this path alone.β
Step by Step to OKAY is a gentle, mindful walking group in Lewisham, South East London, supporting anyone navigating life changes and losses, including bereavement, redundancy, retirement, identity shifts, relationship changes, health transitions, or other significant turning points.
We walk together at an easy pace, pausing at times for quiet reflection and grounding.
At the end, we gather in a circle to share, only if you wish, and to listen with care.
Afterwards, we head to the Lewisham CommUnity Space for tea, biscuits, and relaxed conversation.
No pressure. No fixing.
Just walking side by side, holding space for one another.
π Why this Matters
Life changes, and losses can feel heavy β even when others may not see them.
Sometimes we lose a person.
Sometimes we lose a role, a routine, confidence, purpose, or a sense of who we are.
This walk offers a steady, inclusive space to:
- pause and breathe
- move gently in nature
- feel less isolated
- take small steps at your own pace
This is not therapy or a clinical group.
Itβs a simple, human way of being together in compassion and care.
π The judgment Frame
Our walks are guided by the OKAY Frame, a simple way to hold space with awareness and kindness:
- O β Observe Notice your breath, body, and emotions. Name whatβs here without judgment.
- K β Kindness Respond with warmth β to yourself and to others. Choose gentleness over fixing.
- A β Allow. Make room for emotion, silence, and difference. Let the rhythm unfold naturally.
- Y β You honour your own pace and choice. Share, rest, or step back β all ways of being are welcome.
We use OKAY to open each session, guide how we walk together, and gently close the space at the end.
