Named as Gramophone’s 2023 Young Artist of the Year, American violinist Stella Chen has drawn critical acclaim for her “silken grace” and “brilliant command” (The Strad) on the world stage. This season, she makes her SPCO debut with Ludwig van Beethoven’s monumental Violin Concerto. In her own words, she describes the concerto as, “a marriage of compositional perfection and devastating beauty.”
