Annie Lee, who recently turned 12, is an emerging Canadian pianist with a growing record of international performances. She studies with Zhengyu Chen, who has worked with internationally renowned musicians and pedagogues. Annie made her concerto debut at age 10, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Thirteen Strings at Ottawa’s 2025 Music and Beyond Festival. Her recent distinctions include winners in the Rising Artist category of the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition in both 2025 and 2026; second prize in the junior division of the 2026 XVII Hartford Chopin International Piano Competition (USA); first place in Ottawa Steinway’s 2026 Advanced Piano Concerto Competition; second place in Ontario’s Canadia Music Competition and advancement to the semifinals of the Vigo International Junior Piano Competition. She has also appeared with Ottawa Steinway in the Ottawa Chamberfest City Series and at the Music and Beyond Festival. In summer 2026, Annie toured Europe, performing Camille Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor with the Tarnow Chamber Orchestra and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467, with the Todi Music Masters Orchestra, while also presenting numerous solo recitals. On November 7, she will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467, with the Société Philharmonique du Nouveau Monde at its season opener in Montreal, Quebec.
