About this Event
Children will learn important STEAM concepts as they listen to stores donated by the GA Farm Bureau. Afterwards, a fun educational activity or experiment will be provided! For ages 6-11.
Monthly activities:
September 2nd: Tomato Taste-splosion! We will read Tomatoes for Neela by Padma Lakshmi, do a tasting of different types of tomatoes, and discover what they are used for, either best fresh or cooked.
October 7: Pumpkin Palooza! We will read The Pie that Molly Grew by Sue Heavenrich and Chamisa Kellogg, decorate pumpkins, and make pumpkin fluff to snack on.
November 4: Apple Adventures! We will read Applesauce Day by Lisa Amstutz , make no-cook applesauce, and discover how apples get from the farm to our table.
December 2: Tree-mendous Trees! We will read Zee Grows a Tree by Elizabeth Rusch, build toothpick gumdrop trees, and provide a hot cocoa mix recipe.
