About this Event
The Friends of The Jones Falls presents: the DNR’s Maryland Biological Stream Survey on the health and promise of the Jones Falls Watershed.
The Maryland Biological Stream Survey (MBSS) is a program of the DNR, established to assess and monitor the ecological health of our state streams.
On November 4, MBSS representatives will present an update on the health of the Jones Falls Watershed. This marks the first public MBSS report exclusively focused on the Jones Falls Watershed in recent times, and presents a rare opportunity for an inside look at the state of Baltimore's central watershed.
The presentation will run about 20 mins. so it is suggested you arrive on time. There will be a brief Q&A afterwards, and the presenters have said they will hang around after that.
Seating is first-come-first-serve. There are 40 seats and 10 spots for standing-room-only.
The suggested $15 free-will donation per ticket for entrance to the event is to support the purchase of additional landscaping tools and a permanently located large toolbox by the Stewardship Committee of Friends of The Jones Falls, an all-volunteer non-profit environmental organization. Tools are loaned to Stewardship volunteers who work two Saturday’s a month removing non-native invasives from the tree canopy along the lower Jones Falls. The overall budget is approximately $750 so if you can donate more, please do.
